Now here’s a very unique way of raising cash for your wedding: a US couple is hoping to collect 400,000 aluminium cans, and raise $4,000 to pay for their July wedding.
Andrea Parrish and Peter Geyer, the green happy couple, say ‘environmental responsibility plays a big part in our lives’ and have, so far, collected over 20,000 cans.
On their website, Andrea and Peter explain their eco and budget-friendly wedding planning technique: “we don’t want anything huge or extravagant… really, we’re planning a potluck, DIY decorations, and getting the help from friends and family for flowers, pictures, the sword-fighting battle, homebrew beer, even the cake. Saving the environment and throwing a killer party… what could be better?”
