How To Do A Mini Flash Mob Wedding Proposal in Paris
If you are thinking of whisking your beloved off to Paris to propose to herself or himself (don’t forget it’s a leap year!) well Rosie The Wedding Planner has found a company there that could help you make the proposal really special. Some of their ideas are a bit run of the mill or a bit strange, but the following idea would be good for those of you who have caught your partner weeping while watching those mega flash mob wedding proposals on Youtube that would put a Disney princess movie to shame. You might just live up to their proposal expectations with this scenario set up:
The Big Day, Montmartre, 5pm. You will take advantage of the afternoon to walk, hand in hand, in the paved alleys of the Sacré-Cœur area.
By reaching the Place du Tertre, at the corner of the La Bohème café, you will be approached by Michelle, a portrait artist who will propose to do a crayon drawing of your sweetheart. Naturally, you will accept. Your partner will then pose in front of the smiling artist.
Once the pencil drawing finished, your beloved, will notice on the portrait a colored detail: a key-shaped pendant. The artist will not go into the details but will only specify that this pendant is the jewel symbolizing, in Montmartre, the Key of Happiness…
You will continue your walk. After crossing the famous Place du Tertre, you will walk through the Rue Norvins, scattered with souvenir shops, and will turn to your right to join the Rue des Saules. In this peaceful street, you will come across, sat on the sidewalk, a gypsy selling jewels to people passing by. Those jewels will hold extraordinary powers such as the promise of eternal beauty, the guarantee of fortune, or even the promise… of love.
The gypsy will call you over and will propose to read the palm of your beloved, a suggestion you will gladly accept. After a hopeful hand read, the gypsy will announce that, among all its necklaces, only one is suitable for your sweetheart: a key-shaped pendant… The very same one that appears in the portrait! Discovering the jewel brandished by the gypsy, you will act as if you are surprised and you will show the pencil drawing to the gypsy. The gypsy will recognize the necklace and, at the hands of such an incredible coincidence, will offer the jewel to your partner…
You will leave the fortune teller and will go down the Rue des Saules to follow, on your left, the Rue de l’Abreuvoir. There, you will notice a red haired woman running up the street in a panic, with something hidden in her jacket. The woman will regularly be looking around to see if she is being followed. When she reaches you, the woman will pull a wrapped package out from her jacket and will hand it to your sweetheart, whispering to her ”this is for you”. Then, she will disappear just as quickly as she came…
Intrigued by all those events, you will stop and sit down outside the Maison Rose Café, in order to find out what is contained in the package. Your partner will unzip the package and will discover a padlocked wooden box. The tiny padlock being engraved with the same characteristics that those of the key your partner is wearing around her neck, your beloved will put the necklace key in the lock, will open the box, and will discover, a parchment revealing your written proposal. Getting down on your knee and saying the words at this point is optional but I’d say go for it! To celebrate that happy end, a waiter from the Maison Rose Café will appear to offer a bouquet of roses to your beloved and to serve you a glass of champagne.
If you like the idea, do it quick before some else does and spoils it with a Youtube broadcast!
